Hey Hailey,

Look at an agents credentials, and become a member of SAG. The Screen Actors Guild can provide some information about agents, and if you are doing anything serious, you will need to be in the union anyway.

Talent Agents are governed by the Department of State, for the state in which their office is located. They do NOT and CANNOT advertise that they are a Talent Agency.

Online Talent Agencies are SCAMS and are NOT legitimate, i.e. cannot represent actors.

Legitimate Talent Agencies are Members of:
The Association of Talent Agents.
