Santa gave us a karaoke machine; I have some karaoke cd's, but the songs are either outdated or don't have original music and video in the background; it shouldn't be that difficult to make something like this yourself, working with the original video and music from artists ??

type in the words with a character generator overlay available with some video cameras or photo shops have separate character generators that you can edit your own videos.
I have done this since the early 1980's. when I had my own video business where I taped weddings,reunions,etc.
Actually back in the day,I used a commodore 64 for my graphic displays.
People got a charge out of seeing their names on the tv screen when they played back the tape.
