You're not wrong, but that won't change him. I will never understand why some people are so insensitive. It would certainly be thoughtful if he would get you something. He's sure not setting a very good example for your children. Provided, that is, that he wants them to grow up to be caring, considerate adults.
On each occasion, go buy yourself something special. That'll take the sting out of the situation a little.

NO not at all. He is the one being selfish. Not even a present for mothers day from your children, how nasty !! The very least he could do is to buy you something from the children as they are obviously not old enough to buy something themselves. Give him some of his own back. No fathers day present, see how he feels. Good luck.

What! you are a better person then me. cause all his stuff would have been put outside waiting for him when he got home. From the first time he didn't get me a gift and after having two of his kids. Oh hell no! OK maybe don't do what I would but you need to speak up an say something cause if it really is bothering you it will come out eventually. maybe when you have an argument or something one day.

You know what, stop getting him gifts or any things at all and let's see what happens. It is his duty to take care of you by making you happy. He is being selfish not you. This is so thought less of him. It's good that you are not married to this guy. He better change him self.

No sound like he is selfish for not giving you presents or the least being married to you.

No, you are not being selfish, sweetie.
But maybe he just doesn't realize that you feel this way. Tell him that you would like to receive little tokens of his affection as well.
Good luck!

Nope, you are not being selfish, he is! Maybe he doesn't celebrate any holidays. Was he raised as a Jehovah's Witness? They don't celebrate any holiday. Ask him.
