AVG Free sucks. I know it also sucks having to pay for an anti-virus program but it is worth it. I bought a spyware program ( i will not mention the name, this is not a sales pitch) and it found about 20 viruses that AVG missed. If you really care about security, then pay up.

Avast Antivirus is the best. I was using Norton for years and it is nowhere near as good. You have sixty days to trial the product before you need to register the product, but you can register for free if you are a home user.
You can get Avast from http://www.avast.com
