Hi, most new laptops have Wi-Fi capability built in. So double check with your manuals. However, you mention it's a Medion system which I believe is a budget brand sold by PC world, Currys , Argos and the like. So there's a good chance it won't have wireless to keep the price down. The best solution in that case is to buy a wireless PC card, this will just plug in to the standard PC card slot in the side of your laptop. Search on ebay for this, you can get a good one for £10-£15.

BT Homehub uses WiFi for broadband connection so your laptop, if recently bought, should have WiFi receiver built-in. Otherwise you might have to buy one, make sure that it's compatible to the version of windows you are using, since from the sound of it, your laptop is not recent if you don't have WiFi built-in

Recommended WiFi USB dongle, are Belkin 802.11g Wireless G USB and Netgear WG111 Wireless 54Mbps USB 2.0 Adapter,
both around £15-20.

I'd recommend a belkin or netgear wireless usb dongle. You pick these up at any pc world in the country.
