Hello, I have a little problem with my achilles tendon. I'm doing a sport where my left leg achiles tendon is always tense, it's always working. Several weeks ago i noticed that on my heel, where achilles tendon connects to the bone there's a little bump (like tendon there got bigger), and on the other heel there was no bump. So as it didn't heal by itself I went to see a doctor, she prescribed me Histalgan, a liniment to cure from infamation, and some anti-inflammatory medicine to drink. As this didn't help I'm attending ultrasound sound sessions. But this actually doesn't seem to help too...
What is the most surprising that I don't feel any pain there, but I still keep missing my trainings because, I want it to be healed... but I can't see improvement at all.
So my question is if any of you had this problem and how did you fight it ?

Thank you

Why don't you see an orthopedic doctor? You could have a tendinitis or a bursitis. I wouldn't rely too much on the answers here. Your best bet is seeing a doctor since this is going on for a long time, as you say.

if you find a way to get rid of it please tell me. I got one many years ago woth ill fitting shoes and it is still there interfering with all my new shoes
sometimes it ir very painful other times it just sits there where it always has been.
I was told it was called a bursa and that hitting it with w heavy book like the bible would flatten it. Needless to say I nrever tried that . I think you are stuck with it ---just live your life around it like me.
