Dignity is your self-respect. We all have our moral ceilings which we feel very uncomfortable going through.
Personally, some of mine are that I would not have casual sex, urinate in public, or use a bathroom without a lock.
To many, these things are natural. It just means their moral ceiling is set at a different level.
If someone makes you do something 'outside' that ceiling level, you are being robbed of your personal 'dignity'.
There is no right or wrong. Just 'diferent.

dignity gives a person his identity, his worth. he's denied of his dignity when he's deprived of his rights, or if he's shamed or put down.
