In order to finish anything you must always stay focused on it.

For example if I start answering this question but my focus wanders off onto another question then I won't complete my answer....

I know what you mean, I'm finding it hard to stay focused on writing my strory right now, my mind keeps wondering and I don't get anything done. But staying focused is important because then you'll never finish whatever it is you are doing if you don't, or you'll end up doing a bad job on it.

You can't reach your target or goal if you are scattered and working a little bit here, a little bit there, stop for a cup of coffee, time to check in with the girl friend/boyfriend. If you really want to get somewhere, you have to stay honed in on what it is that's really important. There's nothing wrong with all those other things; they just won't get you where you want to be.

If you don't stay focused, one tends to wander aimlessly and a goal is never achieved. Stay focused and attack your goals
