It depends on the relationship between the friends. I have some friends I would never think of buying a dildo for, some I would (for a joke only) and others I would knowing it would be more serious and that they wouldn't mind. My partner and I usually go together when shopping for our each respective dildos. Which reminds me, we need a new strap....better get down to The Lion's Den!

Depends on the situation.Sometimes they are bought as gag gifts and sometimes they are bought as a way of saying "I know what you need" and sometimes they are bought as a way of saying "want to have fun with me?".It is all in the context of how and why the gift was given.

It can have so many different meanings.
"You is too uptight you need a release"
"you is nevva gonna get a man"
"I thought we could use this, together"
"Here, coz you told me your bf don't get you off"
"at least with this you don't get pregnant or STDs"
...
which one of these or others you can think of do you identify with most?

is that the same friend that keeps asking you if you are a lesbian?
Go talk to her this is getting to weird.
She's hoping to use it on you of course:she is gay.
Stop it:now is the time.
Don't delay it,and if you mind getting the dildo:return it to her saying:TX but no TX..
AND EXPLAIN THAT YOU ARE NOT A LESBIAN.OK
GREETINGS:ROB.
