It was raining heavily and as I dashed towards the deserted building, I wondered angrily to myself why on earth I had neglected to bring an umbrella. Indeed, the weathermen had forcasted sunny skies, a rarity here in England, but I knew from my research of this lovely island nation that it rained almost constantly. I was here to study the history of the monarchy, and thus far it was quite interesting. I had a short paper over the Tudor family due tomorrow which still needed a bit of editing. Too much time on Henry VII and not enough on those before him. You have to admit, though, the man was very interesting. Created his own church, six wives, all that. Overwhelmed as I was with thoughts of getting out of the rain and the paper that was due, I failed to notice that the building I was racing towards was indeed deserted and falling apart. I got inside, and thought I was out of the rain, only to discover that the ceiling was dripping in several places. I hurriedly found the only dry spot and sat down to wait out the rain. There, under an old bench inside, I found an umbrella. Now, I am not a superstitious person, and so when a new hole formed in the ceiling and the rain started dripping down on me, I utilized the umbrella despite my being inside when I did so. Now having a way to keep dry outside, I started to go, but suddenly the umbrella was torn from my grasp. I whirled to face whoever had done it, but there was no one there. All I saw was the umbrella, folding back upon itself and resting again under the bench. I can never be sure, as I am not a superstitious person and do not believe in ghosts, but I believe that as I ran out I saw a wispy figure pat the umbrella and sit down on the bench above it.

That was fun. I hope you like it.

It was raining heavily and as I dashed towards the deserted building, a shot rang out. My body slammed against the pavement and as i slipped into the dark realm known as death, I realized I should have done more.

Now you can go on from there as to how and why you found yourself in this predicament,,,,,,,

Good Luck!

Opening the door to my newfound mansion, happily abandoned as it were, I perceived it as home. I perused the site with my eyes from the doorway and realized that the roof had holes in diverse places.

Cold as I was, I was shaking like a leaf, clinging to its mother, uprooted by the wind. For the first time, I was alone. Empty frames of windows peer upon grey skies, and the flapping of dilapidated curtains in the chilling breeze brought no comfort to my soul. However, the corner of the room gave little warmth to my dispair. Yet, I delighted in the little that it offered in the night.

I took my bag of rags and wrapped myself in them for the night while perching my head upon what remained and I rested upon the cool hard slab of concrete.

I contented myself with the sound of the dripping of the rain and the seeming silence which surrounded my new life in this new city--

This will have been my second attempt at suicide and tomorrow will show its sign upon me when I rise to the sun, if it shines. No man is worth this kind of struggle. So, I left. Here I am cruel world! Nothing has changed, it seems, but I'll start over. -Again.

If you want to learn to write you need to practice. Finish the story. Come back a month later and edit it. Some of the greatest books written took years of editing and rewriting and revisions. If you are a writer you invest a little bit of your soul in every paragraph. Always believe in yourself and eventually others will, too. Enthusiasm is free so be greedy. 8>}

there were giant computers ready to attack me and destroy all mankind. So, I fought them off when John Cena came in to tell me tha story of tha computers. Long ago, there was this kid named Jacob Shawn Queen who helped destroy the computers, who was a friend to one of the victims in the attack. Anyway, the computers were ruled by this evil kid named D.J. Wheeler. They killed the leader and put the computers away for good. But they broke loose this time for the 100th time. So, they destroyed the leader and put them away, for now.
