If casino or beach walks aren't your thing, consider going south down highway 101 to Depot Bay and Newport. For fine dining there is the Salisan Lodge and resort just south of Lincoln City at Glen Eden beach. A few miles further and you are in the tiny community of Depot Bay with it's tiny harbor and a great bridge that goes over the entrance. Some fantastic seafood houses there. Still further is Newport, and here you have the Aquarium and Ripley's Believe it or Not museum. There's quite a bit to do in Lincoln City too, but people tend to put an emphasis on the beach or the casino.

Don't swim! Walk the beach, look at sea lions, relax. Hope for a glimpse of a whale.Take a thermos of coffee or hot chocolate. Once again, relax, breath, and relax. (Watch out for sleeper waves!)
On rainy days(a lot of them here!), go to the Chinook Winds Casino.
