If you did not submit an application or a resume to them directly, it is not legitimate.

They will probably ask you for personal information to verify your identity for their "background check", and if you provide that, expect your bank account to be empty shortly.

Delete this email...do NOT respond.

The company exists (see link). Its majority owned by Heineken, the Dutch brewer and quoted on the Nigerian stock exchange.

Whether or not the email is a scam is a different matter. People can make an email appear to come from any email address they like. If there are any links to click in the email, let the mouse hover over the link and see whether the same or a different web-address appears in the grey status line at the bottom of your browser screen. If its different to the address in the link, then its a scam.

Did you actually ask them to send you details of a job? I would be very wary if you didn't ask for any info.

Even if you think it is probably legitimate, don't click any links in the email. Go to the official website and use the contact details there.

Never trust unsolicited e-mails. Especially if they ask money in any form. If they just want your CV... what else can happen except more spam, in the worst case?

I would be most wary of anything from Nigeria. It is famous for spewing out scams. Did they ask for money to cover "expenses"?
