It would be correct if you had posted an answer but, you just posted a problem.

First: solve for "w" and keep it on one side > subtract 55 from both sides: opposite side means opposite sign:

55 - 55 + w = 605 - 55
w = 550

$550

That equation could work... personally, I like to write the variable first...

w+$55=$605

Otherwise, that should work... you would solve it by subtracting $55 from each side, leaving you with w=$550.

What is the problem asking of you?
