It was a brain hemorrhage. But we don't know whether it was caused by Sonia hitting her or not.

There is no certainty that she is dead the last eastenders fans saw was Pauline collapsing from her supposed fake brain tumour so maybe she is still alive????? i hop0e to see her still in the series Wendy Richards brings to eastenders a sort of bit*ch*ness that Barbara windsor cant compete with lol shes evil and vindictive and i like her mwahhahahahaha!!!

Its the same story. With all soaps you see the same thing over and over again. Why cant the producers relate it to real life. I lost interest as soon as they killed of Den. I think the show is pathetic now with no one left - i heard even phil is becoming girly

First Sonia whacked her, but she was o.k, then she left a message on Martin's phone saying she was sorry. She then went out into the square and collapsed in front of the christmas tree! Then Martin, Dot etc. found her and Matrin said "She's DEAD!"

Sonia smacked Pauline and a vars smashed we don't know if it hit her on the head or it sonia hit her with it but anyway she had something wrong with her head and fainted.

Brain tumour. She wasn't lyeing after all, that's why she was going away, because her pride didn't want her loved ones, neighbours etc see her gradually deteriorate.The slap from Sonia aggrivated the tumour.

Yes great but no one actually called the ambulance or a doctor, she may have fainted, blacked out, coma or asleep. Is martin a qualified doctor to make such assumptions.

Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre carved Pauline up...then his mask fell off...and it was revealed...to be...ARTHUR, her hubbie back from the grave and mad as hell!
