No I don't. I think this is highly inhumane, and am surprised that American Animal rights groups have not done more to stop this from happening! Pit bulls are a very aggresive bred, but with proper, resposible handling and training can be quite lovely dogs. Savage ones of course should be put down, but the family dog who has been loved and cared for for 10 yrs doesn't deserve to be tarred with the same brush.
You start with Pitbulls, then do you move on to Rottweillers,Mastiffs,Dobermans.....where do you stop? What about vicious Maltese, or how about Paris Hilton's rat? I bet that would be different!!
I do not own one, but am a dog lover in Down Under hoping somobody comes to their senses!!!

H**l no! I have raised Pitt's for 16 years, and I have even got a rescue operation set up with local Veterinarian clinics to, to take in Pitts that are abandoned. I have rescued many Pitts that were abused due to illegal dog fighting, and out of about 130, that were lucky enough to survive that brutality only 2, have remained hostile, after their recovery.
The problem is not Pitt's it's the people who raise them!!!

By the way, those 2 were given to someone who owned a large farm, and cared for very well. 1 of the 2 actually did become less aggressive, and is now a "house-dog", the other however was stolen.

Seems to me that it would make more sense to execute the Aholes who breed and raise their dogs to be blood-thirsty. California has some odd ideas. I had a Pitbull, a sweeter, kinder and more gentle dog, you would never find. But I raised her that way.

the breed should not be harmed once living, but they should be breed-ed out of the pool. start crossing them with gold retrievers that are friendly to children and then just keep doing this to make a safer breed. dog owners know this is true.

No as it is cruel and you could dramatically upset the balance of their species and endanger them or they might even become extinct. So don't let it happen.
