Why is it that the people who reside in Detroit ( or other poverty stricken areas) have really nice cars that are worth more that the house.?....jewelry that you can see from a mile away? and have children who grow up not really knowing the american language because so much slang is put into it from birth...........???

Well, most of them are the burdens of America. They are lazy and not productive asking the welfare checks from the government and taking full advantage on the social safety net !!!

Have you been to Detroit.? You do realize that there are some homes there that are very expensive and there are some very upper class neighborhoods.
We live in a society that has but a high value on slang and appearance,
Weather it be in a "poverty stricken area" or someone that owns a million dollar home.

I would defend the right to own a nice car, to wear "bling," and to mimic what one hears on MTV, but your question makes me angry because you are so narrow minded.
