The ovary is the organ that corresponds to the testes in males. It is almond in shape and found inside the female pelvis, close to the uterus. It is responsible for producing and egg (ova) every month during the fertile period of a female lifetime. It is also responsible for secreting hormones. After fertilization the ovary is inhibited from producing and egg but it will continue to secret hormones which are needed during pregnancy.
If you are asking about the Ova (the female egg) then it becomes a fertilized ova or also called a Zygote. The zygote then develops into the baby through growth of cells, multiplication and differentiation into many different types (e.g. muscle, bone, nerves, etc.)

Ovaries are egg-spawning reproductive organs found in female organisms.
Asking what it becomes after fertilisation makes as much sense as asking what the testes in males become after the fertilisation process.

The previous answers all relate to animal ovaries, but this question only makes sense in flowering plants. The ovary thickens and enlarges (usually) to form the fruit, just as the ovule becomes the seed.

the ovary stays as it is,it doesn't change but the egg that is fertilised is known as a zygote and it moves to the fallopian tube.the ovary is where the eggs are produced so nothing happens to it.by the way can i just ask that are you the one who has thumbs down every single person on your page, because some of them have answered your question correctly but just because you are not satisfied doesn't mean you can thumbs them down!

When fertilization occurs the ovary doesn't change it just transports the zygote-that's what the egg becomes after fertilization, through the fallopian tube to the uterus where the zygote will develope into a fetus.

The ovary is where eggs, ova, reside in the female.
After fertilization, an ovum (egg) is a foetus, and has all og the chorosomes to grow into an adult of the species. Ova and sperm have half the chromosomes.

when fertilisation occurs, the ovary is still an ovary, capable of producing different hormones to sustain pregnancy.
