I think that he is the greatest receiver playing RIGHT NOW. The reason he doesn't get the credit is because he doesn't brag, he just goes out there and plays perfect ball. His route running, hands, and insight with Payton makes him the best now.
The greatest ever was Jerry Rice. To be able to completely take over a game from the receiver position is something only he has been able to do on a consistent basis.

To me he isn't THE best but he certainly belongs in the discussion, That has to go to Jerry Rice, Im a huge redskins fan so my heart says art monk but you cannot deny Rice what he did the man was simply amazing. My top receivers in no particular order besides Rice are Rice, Art Monk, Steve Largent, Marvin Harrison, Michael Irvin(would have been better if he didnt get hurt) Isaac Bruce, and beleive it or not the man in the NFL with the most receiving yards total over the last 5 years or so is Torry Holt, he has quietly put together a very solid career. Statistically I would also have to mention Terrell Owens, but hes certainly not a class act like ever other guy I mentioned,so ill leave him out, those guys were not only great but they were top of the line class acts. So strictly speaking the answer to your question is no, but hes probably top 3 or 4 all time.

Marvin Harrison is by far the best receiver in Colts history but Jerry Rice stands alone at the very top.

I feel Jerry Rice was better. I'm also a bigger fan of another receiver who used to where a horseshoe on his helmet, Raymond Berry. His work ethic was amazing. He may have been the most reliable receiver ever. Harrison is a great receiver, but he does get to play most of his games in a dome with an exceptional quarterback in a passing offense.

If you consider Jerry Rice to be in a completely different level above everyone else, and compare Harrison with the rest, maybe.

No - the best in the history of mankind was Jerry Rice (49ers and Raiders).
Rice and Montana, and Rice and Young were two of the best WR/QB pairings ever.
