Highest runs in a test match was done by G.Gooch of England = 456 (333+123) against Inida at Lords in 1990.
Brian Lara scored 400 runs in one innings of a test match
Greg Chappel scored 380 runs (247+133) against NZealand in 1973/74.
Walters of Australia scored 345 runs(242+103) against WI in 1968/69.

No. The highest score by an Indian batsman is 309 by Sewhag playing against Pakistan in Multan. I think it was in the year 2003. There is only one batsman who has scored 400 in the world and it is Brian Lara who scored 400*.
