I have got a ipod video and want some movies on it what formt does it take and also how do i get movies in that format??

Only mp4. Try and encode with H264. Use http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/ if you have a pc and use http://www.isquint.org/ if you have mac.
What I personally do is use isquint. You can get videos from google video and convert them. You can change the size so it is a small file ( like 17mbs for a tv show) or you can have it so it is bigger like 150mbs and you can hook it up to a tv using a cable. All the videos from itunes will play in your ipod as well.It sounds obvious but that includes the 1.2gb movies.
