ou should have an anti-spyware solution on your computer. I recommend that you go to http://www.download.com and get AD-AWARE and SpyBot Search & Destory. Install, run, update and scan your computer with both programs.
If you do not have 512MB of RAM, then you need more. Visit http://www.coastmemory.com and look to see what your system will accept and how much it came with.
Good luck and Happy Computing!

I've had great luck with this free, and safe program that will tune you your computer, called Advanced Windows Care. It does it's magic without you having to make choices. I also have System Mechanic 7, I call it Psycho Mechanic, not a very good program, buggy, someone suggested it, maybe they got the older version, but you can download a trail version (be warned, have you Windows installation CD handy). Another good program with a 30 day trial is Tune Up Utilities 2006. Best of luck, chow.

Get rid af a lot of adware with a program to do so. There are several good ones. Then, do routine maintenace, defrag, check diisk for errors, clean disk. Lavasoft's Ad -Aware is good and free.

You can get more MB for your RAM or delete unused programs. Or get a better RPM for your harddrive.

What processor/speed do you have? You can defragment your disk, which will speed up access times. You can also install more memory.
