Maybe Im wrong here, but i dont think that such a big deal should be made over actors and actresses. In the real world ,alot of the things they do is considered trashy ,stupid, slutty, and down right illegal.Yet alot of people sit anxiously in front of their televisions just waiting to see what Brad and Angelina's baby looks like or if Lindsay Lohan is out drinking the night away with Paris Hilton's ex-screw of the week. Shes only 19 but can drink in any bar in Hollywood.I guess the legal drinking age only applies to normal people and president's daughters.

A year ago Brad and Jennifer were the perfect couple. Now Brad and Angelina are the perfect couple having the perfect kid.Companies are standing in line to donate thousands of dollars worth of clothes ,strollers, and baby toys to this kid.Yet a woman who can barely afford food for her child cant get any help from these same companies.Lets not forget poor Jennifer. A woman who has millions .Lets all jump on her pitty parade because she was left by Brad to fend for her poor helpless self. Men leave their wives every day , with nothing ,and nobody gives one thought about them.I think this country's priorities are in the dumpster and magazines like Star, People and Ok are banking on it.

Eating disorders, drug problems, infedelity, and sex tapes are all this world wants to hear about.Heros are made out of these so called stars and the populatin cant wait to see what they are up to now.Britney Spears and Anna Nichole are perfect examples of what happens when white trash gets money.Tom Cruise finally found a woman brain dead enough to be sucked into his scientology cult.Paris Hilton is like a door knob on the door of a public restroom. Everybody gets a turn. Jessica Simpson's televised marriage comes to an end, but her dad thinks she has a great figure.Thats just a few examples. There are too many to cover in one sitting.

The bottom line is,these people are not worthy of the attention,or money that they recieve. An actor has enough nerve to demand 20 million dollars a film.Yet the person who teaches your children can barely stay out of the welfare line. This country needs to rethink its priorities. There is not a pro athelete or actor worth more than a doctor or fireman that actually help people every day. Placing stars on such a high pedistal only teaches our children that you can get away with anything as long as you have money. It doesnt matter what kind of person you are as long as you are famous.

To be honest, I think most professionals get paid too much. Not just actors/actress', but professional ball players, race car drivers, CEO's of large corporations. These jobs do absolutely nothing to help mankind. I don't benefit from the ball going through the hoop, onto a whole, into a net, or in the endzone, yet these people make more money than they could ever spend. CEO's push pens and papers, how does that benefit me. Actors/actress' are great to watch, but what does it really do for me? I can make my own entertainment with my husband, and can play ball games on video. I believe that they should be paid for the job they do, but demanding astronomical fees for service and having it paid is ridiculous!

it depends on the deal they make and how big a star they are. They will generally get a check everyweek they work on the movie divided by however much they are making. Someone like tom cruise also get paid a large percentage of what ever the movie makes in theaters and on video sales. So Tom Cruise might get paid $25 million to make MI:3 and also make an additional $50 million+ if the movie does good in the theaters and in video sales

It bothers me so much that someone who plays a paramedic gets paid more then the actual paramedic, same with firemen and policemen and even a trash collector. All the people who help us and keep our lives on track mean less to us obviously if we idolize and pay hugh amounts to see someone pretend to be something on the big screen.... And I hate it so much when an actor or a model talks about how hard it is, would they actually say that if they spent a day on their feet as a waitress or ditch digger.... Sorry one of my biggest pet peeves....

Yes they are getting paid way too much along with models and athletes. People that are supposed to save our lives and teach our kids are getting a fraction of what they get.

YES .. I think so.
If music actors, singers and production companies reduce their price tag (a bit) then price of movie tickets, CDs and DVDs will come down too. Hence reduce piracy.

Two hundred million a film - too much? No way. Some of these actors have kids to feed and bills to pay!

You people do realize I'm being sarcastic don't you?

as compared to us mortals, yes they indeed get paid far too much but i still think their quality of life is worse than ours. they aren't really free, divorce and re-marry, scandals, etc, etc... so what's the point of being paid so much? it's really not worth.
