Our (British) National Party have a posting on their website saying that there is an actual law in the U.S. requiring every film to have at least one black actor in it? I can't believe that that is true, so can someone from your side of the pond give me the answer?
I deplore the nasty racist messages that these people put out, so if I can challenge them on anything, I do!
Happy Christmas everyone from England!

The BNP were making a great deal out of the fact that in the film "Fly Boys" a character, Eugene Skinner, was manufactured just to be 'politically correct' - which as far as the BNP concerned is a sin second only to strangling your mother!

No. There is no such law in the US. If producers are putting black people in movies, it is done to sell seats in movie theaters.

Merry Christmas to you from Pennsylvania.

It's probably some myth. Even TV shows like Friends didn't any black character for many season until people started making fun of the show for lack of diversity. If there are such laws it would have been taken up to US supreme court for hearings. It might be a myth orignating from affirmative action or something.

i dont think there's such a law. if there is, its totally discriminatory or it could have been pushed into law during the times when people were quite open against black people. i'd still prefer to believe the law is nonexistent. most likely black people are on the films simply because they are just like any other american.

NO. No way. Although they might put a black actor as a draw to get more (black) customers into the theatre, or they might put in a black one so as not to be called racist or discriminatory, no way would it be because of a law.

Don't believe the glock-job answer below mine.

Hell, I hope it is not required by law, Although I would not be surprised, political correctness is what is bringing our country down. the drain.
