Most cellular company's have a computer link for texting to mobile phones. For example, Verizon is vtext.com. Cellularone is celloneusa.com. If you go to your carriers website, odds are you will find a link somewhere on there to text to mobile.

go to O2 site and join you do not have to have a O2 phone but you get 10 free texts per month so if you and you family join they get 10 free texts also

Go to google and type SMS from computer to mobile.

www.cbfsms.com is free to U.K. mainland mobiles but it is not 100% reliable, still you get what you pay for.
