I have always regarded SCOTLAND as an unique country all on its own - quite distinct from the rest of England. British-England will never release Scotland - it has got MORE to lose.

If Scotland becomes independent from England then it will be a foreign country. England will then be subjected to rule by a foreign country just like almost all of the countries that were once in the British Empire.

i do not extremely see why not in the experience that they choose it, besides the indisputable fact that the data seems that the overall public do not, polls seem operating at about basically one third helping it. yet though they do seem to have benefited from devolution, i.e. some restricted discretion on their budgets for social care, education and so on, there is not any reason this can not proceed locally, interior the united kingdom we seem to have increasingly extra a lot less faith interior the Westminster goverment, particularly scapping the community progression forums so as that it turns right into a race to the bottom for funding interior the already bloated South East with the North, Midlands, Wales, Scotland, and those peskie Cornishers heavily dropping by the wayside. My studying of that is that the Localism invoice is truly important, this replaced into interior the the Tory 2010 election manifesto so there is not any excuse for not understanding about it, it really helps the privatisation of all publc amenities to be tendered out for earnings, the Tories knew they does not get an outright majority in 2010 so plan B plus replaced into to desire that extra community authorities would sign in. they'd have misjuged badly, close to the position I stay many electorate of the London Borough of Barnet were putting up a furious criminal undertaking to 70% of their backroom amenities being offered off to a private employer, Capita, with out democratic consultation, and those are uncomplicated human beings not way out communists or some thing, basically one get at the same time, possibly the Scots are good to be somewhat skeptical about the united kingdom dream.

It's ironic that for the last 10 years, the British Chancellor has been Scottish !!.. as well as the ex-Defence Minister/Health Minister.
While the Westminster govt find a way to get money out of the Scots, Welsh and the people of Northern Ireland, it will be a long time before they release the reins of power to our Celtic countries.
No longer cna "Unitied Kingdon" be called "UNITED" otherwise every person would be 100% behind our troops sent to Afghanistan and Iraq to do a job they are highly trained to do.. if only the english Prime Minister will follow through his very public promises to give the troops on the ground any equipment they NEED to get the job done.
To date, Tony Bair has not authorised his theoretical words into words of reality !..
Why should Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland be governed by an english Prime Minister?

I think so, the SNP wil get there eventually.
The Scottish people & economy will suffer in the short term, as its english money that has kept the country going for the last 400 years.
But when Scotland joins Europe, they will get lots of euro-cash to prop up the place and everything will be fine.
England will have to pay more into the EU of course, so the Scots get their revenge again!! LoL

Well i hope not! If you are Scottish and you can vote do not vote for the Snp. The economy will collapse and Scotland will become poor. The SNPs are living in a la la land wanting Scotland to be independent. I think they have been watching too much Brave heart. The reasons against independence outweigh the reasons for. SNP are doing well in the polls so those who don't want Scotland to crumble where our economy connects with England and couldn't survive without it please vote anyone but SNP!

Let's hope so......we can then rebuild Adrian's Wall and post sentries!
The Scots get so many hand-outs from England, it could only be a good thing for the English.
It would also give us the opportunity of barring Scots from the English Parliament, which it would then be.

With 2 jocks in charge of Parliament (Blair and Brown) it should have happened if it was ever going to happen, unfortunately even those two retards realised Scotland are better off sponging off us than going it alone
