As much as I learned that in future cars u don't have to drive your car. U just have to locate the place where u have to go by a powerful map located in place of the steering of the car. And then the car will take u to your success. Each car will drive out its way at a speed of more than 200km/h. The cars will also have a special sense for not getting crash with other cars.

let me take a guess.
on the outlook, cars would get smaller like covered 2-wheelers and they would run on bio-fuel. India is keenly working on the alternate fuel for vehicles. Bio-fuel and fuel extracted from plants would be the trend.

By 2027 we could have exhausted all available fuel, and Nuclear fire exchanges with Iran, North Korea, India and Pakistan (possibly Somalia if it goes unchecked) may have stunted any motivation to develop alternative fuel.

Have you seen the Jetsons cartoon? That is where we are headed in the auto making future. lol Really with the rapid rate of technology and all the auto making compatition, and Billions of $$$$$$ to be made, we will have our pick of the best, and safest transportation.

I don't know but i do hope that the cars will be so much faster and safe at the same time.

And i really really hope that singapore (my country btw) won't put a speed limit to all cars. :D

My guess would be hydrogen fuel cells. NASA have been using them for years to power spacecraft,electrical power systems. Its a matter of making them commercially viable.

if the oil companies and the car companies have their way..... exactly the same as what your driving now. there is still several trillion dollars worth of oil to be be sold.
