I got a friend looking to transfer from a school up north to a school in Florida. I just want to know, does anyone know if my credits will transfer, because my school up north runs the quarter system and the school I want to go to only uses the semester system. Whats the best way to find out if they will transfer?

Check with the college. Call and talk to a counselor. Colleges and Universities are very fussy about transferring credits. They can literally be a pain in the rear end. Very political. They want you to graduate from THEIR school, not someone else, so they aren't always obliging. Even if you have come from a superior college or university to where you want to attend, they make it difficult, saying, "Well, we don't have that particular course offered here, thus, you can't transfer those credits", that type of dialog. Be careful!

Your credits or most of them will probably transfer, but keep in mind that the bottom line is that it is up to the college you are trying to transfer the credits to. Also,a D or under will not be accepted.

first is to send the transcript down to the college you are applying to.

second is to get another copy of the transcript and talk to an advisor over the phone. Scan the transcript and show it to them via email or fax.
