While opening gifts on Christmas I accidently stabbed myself in the stomach with my dad's small pocket knife. My mom's a nurse and looked at it, assumed it was only a 1/2 inch wide and 1 inch deep and just cleaned it with hydrogen peroxide, neosporin and then a bandage.
Well, here it is in the middle of the night and I woke up nauseated and having to vomit.
I'm paranoid. Could the two be related at all?
(If not, i'll feel pretty stupid for asking, but whatever. I thought it was worth it.)

Yes you should be concerned.. That is a pretty deep wound and your mother should know better being anurse! You very well could have gotten infected, or have internal bleeding..

I cannot believe your mom didn't take you to the damn ER!

As a nurse she should also know better than to use peroxide on a wound. It damages the tissue!!

Hun, call 911 NOW and get an aid car there NOW, don't wait for mom to take you to the ER!

Next time use scissors.

I to throw up and feel sick if there has been a cutting injury to myself or anyone around me. I can donate blood, just cannot stand the cutting part.. I doubt the two are related unless you are incredibly thin and could have injured and organ.

Tell your parents.

Never use peroxide on a deep wound, it can disguise bigger problems. Do what moonfairy said, and tell the doctor you used peroxide on the wound.
