He was honest to the core and decided that marriage and children might be a hindrance to his principles and dedication. He wanted zero corruption in his life and the only way to achieve this is by eliminating all possible sources of corruption. Also, the fact that he is a Muslim has made him extremely cautious and he wanted to stay away from this community as much as possible. This is the best way for Muslim youths also to follow and live in India, so that nobody can blame them for producing children.
But great scientists like Einstein and Newton lived a normal life and had active love affairs, sex, marriage and children

Sponsoring a candidate is the right of every voter. Mamata Banerjee is a voter. So per se none can question her right. Election, of course, is a game of numbers. Whether the sponsored candidate is ready to face a contest, is the question. It is a fact that none of the candidates whose names were in circulation, come anywhere near Dr.Kalam, in integrity. He proved that he is a worthy successor of the genre of Dr.Rajendra Prasad, Dr.Radhakrishnan and Dr.Zakir Hussain. Post retirement, he secured more accolades than any predecessor President. Resorting to facebook mechanism, Mamataji, has exposed the ulterior motives of other sponsors in not coming forward to support Dr.Kalam. It is a democratic exercise to arouse the conscience of people, to the impending need of change in election process of the President, by way of amendment to the Constitution, at least to broadbase the electoral college, if not direct election by vote of the citizens. No it is not a face saving measure. It is to unmask the faces of political machine operators.

Maybe his vision was elsewhere, unlike the rest of us. The first time a girl 'looks' at us we are down with the 'my girl' syndrome. APJ is made of different stuff - definitely.!!
