http://www.limewire.com/ is the most used free file sharing site. make sure you have anti virus running before swapping any files. the free edition of avg available from http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ does a good job. once you have installed limewire do a search for limewire pro. then install this and delete the original. pro is faster.

Legally it is hard to put songs and videos on it for free. You can download songs from itunes but only the ones that say, "Free song of the week". There are a number of them that are free if you search for them. You need to sign up for itunes to do this though. The free songs are normally bands that are just trying to find their feet and so you probably have never heard of them.
A better way is to get a cd and import the songs to your library.

Now you can use programs such as Limewire to get music but you must understand that is not normally legal. You can get videos from there as well. As for a legal source of videos try google video. You will have to change the format though to an mp4 video file. Use isquint for this. Now what I do for my music is simple. I use a legal website known as musicmp3.ru. It costs 12cents USD per song but that is better than 99cents USD like itunes. I search for the songs in itunes. I double click it and it plays a 30second preview. I then go to musicmp3.ru and find and download the song.

Also I don't know if you use a mac or pc. If you use a pc then isquint won't work. You need Videora. I have never used it so I am not sure if it can work with google videos however it is worth a try.
Also with Limewire it is legal if you download something which is free and not licensed.
Lastly if you have any actual trouble with your ipod, not advice, then use the apple discussions. They are best for Apple products.

Gather CD's from all your friends and use Media Player to Rip them to your PC. Then add the music folders to iTunes and Sync your iPod! Job done.
I you friend has a iPod, then get them to switch it to work as an external drive. Open up the ipod folder using Windows Explorer and then set your PC to view hidden files. you will see several folders. One of these contains the music. Just copy and paste them into your computer and import them to your iPod. Job Done.
Don't forget to Eject their iPod before you unplug!

Use a torrent site such as

www.mininova.org

or torrent spy, isohunt etc

For these site you need a program like bitlord to down load them they are free as well but it is not legal.

Limwire is also free but it istalls loads of spy ware on your computer so i would not recomend it

If you are using these torrent sites i strongly recomend that you run anit virus and anti spyware regularly on your computer as some files will contain spy ware not everyone is honest
But you will get less spyware with these sites than with the likes of limewire and blubster which destroys lots of peoples computers.

This has happen to a lot of people i know so i think your best bet is uing a torent client and site, plus you get much more chioce on these sites

You could download music for free but it is illegal most of the time.
LimeWire is a program that does this. There are better programs to use but you should graduate to that level yourself.

Don't use itunes. Its a complete ripoff.

Try using www.allofmp3.com. Its not free but its incredibly cheap and they offer much more music than itunes.
