I loved his book and the movie..I think that it stirred up a controversy but its fiction..he said its all fiction..But to tell you the truth..why would in fact the church be threatened by the fact that Jesus was a man..He was a man..I have always thought this..Now I can identify with a man that was given devine powers at times other than a living deity ..I would feel closer knowing he was a family man .. and was used by God..I had this thought long before the movie..and have always thought so and always thought that he had living desendants among us..why not? I think that when he was spoken of as the son of God..its just like you and i are the children of God..does that mean that Jesus is our brother or that we are all God..? I think that it was meant that we were created in his image therefore we all are his children..as was Jesus..He was just given devine powers to help people in need ..he was a good man .. but living deity no.. never thought so..somewhere in christian beliefs the translation became son of God ..I don't think that Jesus ever thought he had a monopoly on being a child of God.. and like I said personally I can identify more with a man being Jesus than a living God...

I would say he does alot of history research!!I read the Da Vinci Code,I was a little disappointed.I really like non-fiction,his book was definitely fiction with some historic truths. Some were documented some just speculation.I was never really interested in the Holy Grail theory.I am Agnostic and into metaphysics,I couldn't care less whether Jesus was married or not.

Regarding the contents? Well, he writes good fiction. He's taken some historical truths, some guesses and some outright fictions, as well as some much better material from better writers, and blended it into one fast paced, controversial book. He has an annoying habit of bold facing the points he wants to make, which makes readers feel quite dumb. All in all, an entertaining fiction with VERY little resemblence to well researched material.

It's got a lot of information that is fact, but the plot and ending are fiction. I had those questions myself for so long before that book came out. It was nice to know someone else did too.
He's a fantastic author, and Angel & Demons was much better than the Code, that's for sure.

Rambling style works to keep readers moving through his stories. Am reading Digital Fortress now, and it's not as engaging as later books. Did his homework on the details, but don't look for classic literature here.

I enjoyed "Angels and Demons" much more so than "The DaVinci Code". . .I enjoy when fact and history and interwoven with fiction. I think he does a decent job of maintaining a good, taut story line with some interesting characters.
His other works. . .Digital Fortress, Deception Point. . .they read more like movie scripts to me. . .not nearly as enjoyable.

He is doing a great job as a writer but he is supporting views that are completely imaginary.
He is not using real information and he even presents fake as real.
He writes in his book that the book is fiction but in his interviews an in his personal site he admits that he is supporting those theories.

His mind is no doubt ingenious, but i think it is quite rude to create things abt religion which arent even true....I like the novel cuz of its ingenious but I was not satisfied with the subject although it was thought of ingeniusly...Does that make sense?
