I don't know what constitutes "best" since every member has his/her strengths and flaws, but I would say, imo, kudos to Hurley. He's always trying so hard to make the others *Not "The Others...lol :)* accept him *like when he built the golf course* but it really seems like he is cursed..nothing seems to go right for the poor guy *accidently killed 2 people, won the lottery and watched his life go to hell, Libby's death* If I were on the island, Hurley is the one I'd prob be best friends with.
Worst....hmmmm, I really can't stand both Juliet and Ben aka "He Who Shall be Called Henry Gale*...They've evil...I'm telling ya. Ben makes the perfect villian. He's so smooth and calculating, it's creepy!
And to Kate, relax, Sawyer is NOT dead! Ben put him through serious Hell recently, but he is alive

*Best- Probaly Locke or Sawyer. (By the way, to the first poster, Sawyer isn't dead yet and Locke isn't an Other. Please watch the show before you try to answer this question.) Locke becuase his flashbacks are always intersting and he's always talking about everything happening for a reason. Sawyer because he's hilarious. I love all the nicknames he comes up with.
*Worst- The new people, Nikki and Paulo. Where did they come from??? It's like one day they just suddenly appeared. I don't even know why they're on the show!

well Mr Eko was close to the best for me but he was killed. I suppose Locke is the most interesting and has the most layers to his character, he's not perfect and he gets many things wrong, but he seems to have a good heart and always tries to help when the rest of them are in danger.
And I just really see no point at all to Claire. What does she do other than clutch the baby? There's no mystery to her, she doesn't contribute anything at all to the island or to the storyline, she whinges at Charlie constantly. I just don't find her remotely interesting.

Kate is the best...she's mysterious and smart. she knows how to handle any kind of person and she's friends with everyone on the island
the baby...he doesn't do anything, so why is he into the plot?
Sawyer's dead?????? We finished season 2 and still waiting for season 3
pls don't tell me Sawyer's dead....damn

it's a toss up between locke and jack, locke because he has faith in the island but i would like to see him like he was when they first got on the island he was like i am man hear me roar,jack just because he is the hero as for the worse i honestly can't think of 1

Best: Charlie and Claire .. I dunno why, they're nice, friendly, good ppl!! hehe . I really hope they'll be together!
Worst: Anna Lucia!!!!!!! She was soooooooooooooooooooo bossy! And for no good reason!!! I'm glad she's gone!
