I don't see what's wrong with it and why people bash it so much and say it sucks. If it sucked it wouldn't sell as well as it does. What happened to its popularity and all its fans?

This proves that 4Kids ruined everything. The reasons I'm seeing is that the show is lame. The show sucks, yes. It gets old and is very predictable, but what about the games? Groudon along with others is not cutesy like Pikachu. It is not a simple game. Ever heard of IVs? EVs? DVs? If it were kiddy, it would be easy. If it's so kiddy, haters out there would have no problem beating fans, but in reality they'd be demolished. There's a lot of strategy behind this game, too complicated for little kiddies to understand, but hidden well enough so that nobody ever realizes it. I still no reason to hate it. My question has not been answered.

i guess
they were so tired
of the same plot and ending of the story.
ash fights.. loses.. and then wins again..
in the ned..
and kids found other things to do liek go on myspace, xanga or watch MTV..
the world changes quickly and so do television shows..
say that one show si your favorite and the next thing you know is that the other is your favorite one.
just as simple as that..

One of the reasons is that some people hate Pokemon because of religious reasons. It is considered offensive as the creator creates monsters to some. But Pokemon is still so much fun

I like Pokemon!!! They are cute!! Hate Pokemon?!?!? Do u mean no interest? People think its childish and children loose interest in them because they grew up and becoming more matured. I used to play Pokemon, now i'm not intrested in it but i don't hate them. Instead i really appreciate those who created them and made my childhood times so much fun ^_^

One of three things:
they think Pokemon would be bad for their image
they think it's too childish
or they don't know what Pokemon are.
My son is almost 15, and he used to collect pokemon cards and play in tournements. He doesn't really watch the tv show, but he does play the pokemon gameboy games occassionally. We like to make fun of Pikachu :)
I think its just that kids grow out of it, and move on to Xbox or Playstation or something else. My son doesn't hate Pokemon, but he spends most of his free time playing Halo2 or Gears of War on Xbox 360 or practicing Kung Fu.

I think it is the cute-sy type animation and the unending quest to capture these supposedly wild critters and stuff them in a ball, only to let them out to fight. Children are too ignorant to see the whole picture.

It was a fad that came and went. Fads come out, kids buy it cuz it's the "cool" thing to do, and then it fades away and nobody likes it anymore.

Because Pikachu sounds like he's on helium and all that Brock guy tries to do is pick-up Asian Cartoon chicks. It's just not appealing anymore!!

they grew up
the "pokemon" generation grew in age and with so many imitating characters and shows that came after, it just became overbarring
