You "was" 23 years old? What are you NOW?
And not "being able" to quit smoking is a copout. I'm quitting in 5 days, my new years resolution. The addiction with smoking is mental ... it's literally all in your head. If you can't quit, it's simply because you don't WANT to. Up until now, I didn't want to. I enjoyed smoking. Now, I'd rather live a few extra years and see my children smile a little longer instead of coughing up blood later on and developing lung cancer.
If you want to, you can quit. If you don't want to, you won't .. it's as simple as that.

yes, if you dont stop smoking you will be 32 in a year, smoking sucks the life out of you. I have been smoking for the last 33 years and I quit exactly 1 year ago, and as Ciniful said, if you want to quit, its all up in the mind. if you don't, you will never quit. Smoking is not cool, it kills, it stinks, and its horrible. For your own good, quit while you are ahead, and enjoy good health.

I will be starting a new drug called Chantix next week. My doctor told me that it is 70% effective for quitting smoking, while the patch and gum is only 30% effective. Chantix is a happy pill. It keeps the endorphins flowing constantly. Woo-Hoo!
If you continue to smoke, you will continue to stink, meaning your home, car, clothes, breath, etc. You will face staining of teeth and fingers (where you hold cig). It can trigger gum disease, erectile dysfunction, and lets not even go into the various cancers.

People use it for different reasons; to look cool, to reduce stress, to keep from eating more.
I used Nicoderm CQ years ago & was able to quit successfully. My "triggers" were: behind the steering wheel, on the phone & when I had coffee. I placed healthy snax in those areas to satisfy my hand/mouth habit.
Also, drink lots of distilled water to pull nicotene out of body quicker.
