No it's fine to leave it on.

A reboot every week or two is a good idea.

No, there is no need to turn your PC off every now and then provided you have got favourable temprature and the fans of your processor are working perfectly...
I have conitnuously ran my computer for 4 days without even a single shut down but it didn't harmed my PC at all.
But if your CPU is placed in somewhat hot place where the ventillation is not proper then you have to consider the option of shutting your PC down and not to run it for long hours.
Actually it depends on the wiring of your PC and the cooling fans of your processor, better these two things are and you can work with your PC long...

I hope it is the answer...

I've always chosen to turn mine off every few days at the least, and leave it hibernating when I'm not using it... I don't really have a reason, I guess, just seems like if I was a computer I'd want a break some times haha

It is actually harder on your desktop computer to turn it on and off all the time than it is to let it run, although it will use more electricity. That being said, you need to reboot windows periodically.

I leave mine on 24/7, but I find it has rebooted during the night after some automatic upgrade. The only strain is on the fan, and it is cheap to replace.

It doesnt really matter....I leave my PC up 24-7-365....no problems...

Constantly changing the temp however is bad for a computer...can cause bad connections, and actual physical damage as parts expand and contract with heat.

I shut mine down every night before I go to sleep. If not it's because I run my virus software.
It's nice to let your processor cool down some too. Hard drives (where all your stuff is stored) can heat up also and warp, causing you to loose files you may not want to, such as pictures, docs or tunes.
