virus?
detail pls. how can u can't recover the space after format?

First of all, if it's a MP3, when it's on and connected to your computer it is just as susceptible to getting viruses as any other drive, floppy, IDE, SCSI. Because essentially it is a hard-drive that has a Mp3 player programmed on it. Make sure you have deleted all the files on the mp3. Maybe you accidentally put a different type file on it (jpeg, exe) and it's using the space.. I'd plug it in, open it up through windows "my computer" right click down to "properties" then select which "removable drive" (G, I, J etc") is the mp3, see what the blue and pink pie windows said as far as how much space total, being used and free. If not, I'd virus scan it again and format it- if that doesn't help, warranty.

actually not WAV - that is uncompressed. I imagine that is ACC, by way of the indisputable fact that is a extra recent format. options you, with low bit-costs MP3 may be extra right down to a miniscule length - on the glaring cost of poor high quality.
