By the emo and gothic statement I will assume you are rather young and depression is so common at that age(teens or early 20s) that you would be weird if you didn't feel it. I cried all the time at that age and dealt with depression for years after that. I never chose medicine, but I prayed alot. I never felt suicidal to the point I would act on it, but I suggest if you do then you need to talk to someone and get medicine if you need it to be happy. Most of the time these things will go away.Remember not to feed your depression with worry.Try takingyour mind off of things when you can.

If it happens every single time I would say no. As for myself I occasionally get a little nostalgic sometimes after a night of drinking making me listen to old songs and think about old times with good friends who I don't see anymore which can make me sad. But times like that for me are the exception, not the tule. If you get depressed a lot more often then I would say no, it's not normal.

You wouldn't feel so depressed if you weren't so paranoid, and you wouldn't feel so paranoid if everyone wasn't out to get you.
Look at the bright side, you made it through another Christmas, probably alone, but alive never the less. So celebrate !!!! Now if you are alone on New Years also, well, you are not really alone, you have all your other personalities to keep you company, plus maybe you also have some hard liquor to keep you company. So, just think, you are not really that depressed with all of that going for you, right.

No and IMO there is much more enjoyment in life than depression. Have you tried praying about it? You could try doing something nice once a day for another individual, find a new hobby.....finish a project, create structure in your life, take a walk every day. Just some things to share. Take care :)

I believe it is just normal to feel depressed temporarily conscide to a particular event. But don't do it so often, cause it make you emotionally ill and your normal condition will be affected. If possible, make an act that could relieve you being depressed like hearing your favorite music.

Well everyone has their depressed moments and I have had my fair share in life. Its normal.

What is not normal though is feeling like this for days and days on end. If you feel like this constantely for more than a week and even for one second have a suicidal thought CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR AT ONCE!!!

Yeah, you're fine...but I highly doubt you're "depressed". Maybe you're just bummed out. If this "bummed out" thing starts to really interfere with important aspects of your life (like your job), GET HELP.
