I've prayed on it, & I've talked to my high school counselor & my college counselor, & they've not help’d at all. I'm a 20 y/o sec’d year college student. I'm attend’g LASC. I just recently view’d "The Pursuit of H" & realiz’d, my life has no purpose. I HATE school, I always have & I just want to be done. My career of choice was teach’g but I doubt my choice b/c it seems fun, but teaching looks boring too. I like photography and writing. I'd like to write an advice column for a magazine, or shoot photos. I work’d as a photographer once at a theme park, and genuinely loved the innocence in a child’s happiness (candy, favorite cartoon character, photos to prove it and joy!) I LOVE work’g with children, I LOVE try’g to figure things out, like fix’g problems.Yet, I need to find out what I should be doing with my life. HELP PLEASE. How do I even begin to find out how to decide a career choice? My resume is pretty good. I’m a fast learner, & I have a sunny disposition. Anyth’g would help.

your question is very funny because you do not control your life in any sense of it...I was very strong and thought that I was in control of my life and all this crap but one day me and my girlfriend got in an accident because of a drunk driver. I mean that in life it is impossible to calculate every step you will make. What is possible though is to make choices...make as much as choices you can...see what is best for you...decide later...

I was in a similar situation once. I was trying to figure out what to do with my life and decided to go into teaching, as you did, but then could not figure out how to get where I wanted to be. Long story short, I'm now in a PhD program in English, studying political rhetoric and religious rhetoric.

What I would advise, and the thing I tell a lot of my students is, leave school. Go out and let the world kick you in the *** for a few years, then see how you feel. My guess is you don't feel motivated yet to do something. Get a job, pay for an apartment, live a little. Frankly, experiences like those you'll have will pay off. Once you've done this for a while, then think about school. In every case (EVERY) of a returning student entering my class, they are always motivated to learn. They understand the value of hard work, and really want to learn the skills that will get them to the next level.

Pray, talk to people, read some books and magazines and see what catches your eye. But above all remember this: each of us write's our own book. Don't let the fact that 'all your friends' are going to college sway your confidence. This trip is yours to take, make it good.

I wish you the best.

I think you live life as the model of your clashing selfs. Everyone has many different selfs. These selfs are like different people. Some of them would love to spend forever living with the ones they love, some would love to spend forever with people they care about. Others would love to own a house by the sea. Everyone of these selfs is real. Everyone of these selfs would like something from themselves. So in that end, live is lead as a collection of selfs who are living and spending their lives

well didn't really read ur long verbal judo, but y not try answering some questions on yahoo, if u get voted for best answers alot, then u can consider counselling. seriously. if u hate skool, then try workin more on ur natural given talents. if u have none then try goin to an orphanage home and work with some kids, they're fun and they have hight intuition they might even tell u wat to do.

first you get an education. Like a degree in something and then you think about what you can do with it. with a degree you have choices . like lab work or teaching. but you first--- HAVE TO BE EDUCATED
