My computer is connected to internet through LAN and there is a firewall in the Server. I want to install a bit torrent client and download bit torrent files from the internet. but it is not working properly. due to firewall no ports are open.

My computer is connected to internet through LAN and there is a firewall in the Server. I want to install a bit torrent client and download bit torrent files from the internet. but it is not working properly. due to firewall no ports are open. Please not that I am not the system manager or administrator, only a user at far end and not accessible to the server settings.

Go into the firewall control panel and open some ports.

You can't do that. If the systems admin is blocking the torrent ports outbound -- and virtually all of us do -- there's simply no way to get past the firewall.

Some rube will probably suggest using a proxy. Two problems with that. Most public proxies only work with web browsing (ports 80 & 443) and most systems admins block known proxies anyway.

try using some of the opened port on the firewall which are
25, 21, 23
if it does not work with u then use a network scanner to find which port are accessable for u to use and use one of them

All bittorrent clientele in good shape. you ought to use any of them. 2. oftentimes the main important difference is interface and a few guy or woman advantageous properties. you could decide on any of them you like. each time you could replace it to a distinctive one. the main everyday are: BitComet, uTorrent, Azureus. I choose BitComet. 3. don't be attentive to what's limeware. 4. BitTorrent is sturdy stuff, basically connect us :)
