Oil is going to stick quite well to this type of material, so you may end up with a stain. It's probably been too long for flour or powder to work, so try a carpet & upholstery cleaner, like Woolite Spot and Stain carpet cleaner. Simple Green is worth trying, too, but not together. When things get drastic, you can either try a tar and bug automotive remover that is not solvent-based, or take it to a dry cleaners.

Sorry what it is made out of doesn't help me but if it can be machine washed then it is easy. Wash as you normally would but add a two liter bottle of Coke I know I know but Coke works. My son is a fry cook and it toook a couple of washes but we saw a marked difference after the first time the grease smell was all but eliminated. Hope it helps you

Try Dawn. Get a toothbrush and put some of it on it, then scrub. Like in the commercial, but instead of penguins it's a jacket. That's what I would try.

I use Dylon stain solve prewash..its a little bottle that you dab onto to the stain..(it removes oil) Im not sure what country you are from (Im in Australia) but it can be used on all washable fabrics..you might want to contact them on www.dylon.com.au to see if they distribute to your country..

Johndoe91 is correct. My son works on car engines and this has worked everytime. You might have to repeat if it's been there awhile do not dry til your satisfied better yet air dry on hanger to be sure.

Try sprinkling corn starch on the stain to absorb it. After it dries brush it off.
