"Happiness is a positive cash flow"- Fred Adler

Happiness is harmony. Harmony with yourself and your surroundings, meaning you accept yourself for who you are and you accept the world for what it is. It seems temporary, but some people are blessed with a happy outlook on life no matter what thier circumstances are. I think it's mostly a subconscious choice to be happy or not. I think there must be sadness to appreciate and experience true happiness. A lot of people seem to take things for granted these days. They choose to be unhappy and bitter even though many other people have it a lot worse than they do. It's really something when you can see someone happy about the simple things, even though they have to struggle so much in life. And you see someone who has a lot of money, friends, family, health and they throw tantrums, whine and are selfish over the littlest things, and are oblivious to the things they should be happy about.

Happiness is a mental state of the mind.
To be really happy under any circumustances is the art of living. To achieve this you have to control the mind. The mind is a wild horse. You have to break it in and tame it. Control your desires and learn to be content - contentment; is so sweet.
Try to be truthful and follow the righteous path in life and take whatever comes in your way as the God's Gift. Learn to live a detached l;ife full of attachments. Try to follow the religion and its good advises and pray to God with all sincerity. Then you will find life easy and you will derive happiness at all times beaming with smiles illuminating and radiating your surroundings and the people with happiness. God bless you immensely.

Happiness is being able to accept your situation. If you can accept whatever comes in your life, don't you think you'll always be happy? People are sad because either they try to run away from their situation or are unable to accept it. That's my quick thought.
