On my contract sim if u pess either of the buttons on the right it wont display the phone number but will display other info

The volume up and down buttons on the side should display this if you click it whilst on the main screen. However it depends what network your on. In the uk i know it works on t-mobile and usually on o2. Not sure about orange. If you want it and your on vodafone just dial *#100# and it pops up on screen after a few seconds.

there should be 2 small buttons on the right hand side as you look at the phone...press the bottom one and it will tell you how much battery you have got left, your mobile number, and some other info

i have the 800i there is a button on the side press that and it will show you if its the same
