It is the branch of mathematics that deals with the relationships between the sides and the angles of triangles and the calculations based on them, particularly the trigonometric functions (sine, cosine, tangent, secant, cosecant, and cotangent)

It derived from New Latin "trignometria" from Greek "trignon" which means "triangle" and Greek "metria" which measure. and literally means measures of triangle.

Consider a triangle with a 90-degree angle.

What is the relation among the angles the ratios of one side to the other, etc.?

This is studied in trigonometry and a lot of relations are derived.

Trigonometry then deals with non-right triangles to find the relation between the sides and angles.

Some functions found here are sin, cos, tan, cot, sec, csc.

Some equations that hold for all values of the involved variables in trigonometry are
[sin(t)]^2+[cos(t)]^2 = 1.

Trigonometry is a part of subject mathematics which deals with the relation of Sine/Cosine/Tan function with the help of comparison between triangles, particularly triangles in a plane where one angle of the triangle is 90 degrees & their respective side values... Its the base of Engineering & its applications..!!

The best way to learn it is through the guidelines of the given link .. It really works.. ;-)

trigonometry is a branch of mathematics which deals with triangles, particularly triangles in a plane where one angle of the triangle is 90 degrees (right triangles). Let us have a right angled triangle.
lets say angle x faces the opposite side, sin x is the length of the opposite side divided by length of the hypotenuse. If you wanna know more, search it on wikipedia.

Trignometry is the branch of mathematics which deals with the relationships between the angles of a triangle, particularly a right triangle. the basic relations in trignometry are sin, cos and tan with their reciprocals as cosec, sec and cot respectively. trignometry is used in navigation, engineering, surveying and astronomy.
