Every society has problems. It is natural and human.
The biggest problem with American society is its greatness. America is a great country. Americans are great people who have shown direction and wisdom to humanity. Now the biggest challenge is to maintain that greatness.
The challenge becomes more deadly when somebody in remotest part of the world or even from the poorest nation tries to show them their wisdom not through their knowledge but through state robbery so called terrorism.
America and Americans have to face these deadly threat not for themselves but for entire humanity. The greatness of humanity will then only be maintained.
Humanity has no social structure to follow other than American society on the way to prosperity.

Mass media. The whole range of manipulations that goes on in mass media is making a nation of neurotics and psychotics out of us. Show high-calorie foods in full color, and Americans gain weight. Why? Because we are being offered the subliminal and not-so-subliminal idea that this is the way to eat. "Sara Lee love your children," indeed! If you love them, you do not make sugar junkies out of them.
The way people dress, the way they talk, what they consider to be important or not, how they view what is normal and acceptable, are all shaped by television, mass market magazines and the like. Add Internet to that to a remarkable extent, and it means we are being bombarded with the mass culture all day, every day. Individuality -- dare I say Liberty -- has a tendency to get lost in the group-think.

The biggest problem? Well, if you scroll up through some of these posts i'd say "self-esteem" issues!
Whatta a bunch of ingrate losers who can't wait to flagellate themselves in front of some smarmy frenchman.
America has problems but certainly less than Europeans who are incapable of reproduction and are dying off!
Africa and Asia are certainly in no position to pass any judgements....

We pay sports stars more than teachers. In fact we pay anyone (with an equivelant education) more than teachers.
