Well for starters, the opening theme you can find to download at http://www.gendou.com for free, the registaration is free and you can find the song there by searching for the title or just under fushigi yuugi.
As for the OVa I would rate it a 1. I LOVE Fushigi Yuugi, it's my all time favorite anime, but I have to say I was very dissapointed with that OVA. One of the main reasons being that it wasn't created by the original manga-ka Yuu Watase, and that's hard to be at her standards, she's a master storyteller and it's not really t he real story if it's not by the person who created the story. I also thought that there were too many flaws with the show. How can a baby be the shinzaho, makes no sence, the fact that there was fake suzaku also seems a bit off. Miaka wasn't a virgin anymore which defeats the purpose of her being a miko and the new person who came in just didn't fit the storyline and as they said the story had finished, since all the miko's had appeared. Also, the reincarnation thing was nice, but seemed a bit off, for example making Nuriko reborn into a woman. Uhm.. by the time Nuriko died he got over his homosexuality, which all stemmed from hiis sisters death and he got over it and finally realized he could love women. Makes no sence for him now to be reborn as a woman.
I mean, it was nice to see all the warriors again, but the story didn't feel right enough to enjoy it as I did the original story, and I guess that not right feeling I could put it as it felt like a 'filler saga' or 'filler episode' that many long running series have especially since it was basically a fanfiction made into an OVA.
If anything I would have rather they waited and now started on animating the Genbu Kaiden series. I think it would be more intersting to see the story of the priestess of Genbu now that it's a manga instead of a story created by someone who didn't create the orginal story and characters and knows every whim and action and personality of the characters and every detail of the storyline.
So yea, a 1 for me.

Ugh...
I've gotta say, Eikoden sounds ok for a fanfic, but for an ova...
The "heroine", Mayo, was no where near sympathetic. She came off as a complete whiner beetch. Nakago and Suboshi, the villains they were, knew their place. Yui, as much the beetch she was, was at least shed in a light so people could somewhat sympathize with her. Miaka, as dumb as she may sometimes be, had admirable qualities and despite many harsh reviews from fans, deserved the title of heroine, and quite frankly, FY isn't FY without her.
Seeing beloved characters back is always a sweet thing, however, unnecessary comebacks are... Well, unnecessary. It's a tricky thing, and if producers can't handle the task of animating a third OVA, it's bound to turn out upsetting. On a sidenote, the CGI beasts sucked.
I was alright with the first OVA, because it had at least a few Seiryuu in it (FY just isn't the same without them. I personally watched FY for the Seiryuu. And Suboshi's 2nd death was heartbreaking). The 2nd OVA was tolerable because it offered insight into some Suzaku's life. The 3rd was completely uncalled for.
I'll rate 0.2 for Chijyou no Seiza alone.

I haven't seen the thing entirely. Get it? Because it sucked. And I didn't need that review to tell me. I hated Mayo. I hated the fact that every girl in the entire Fushigi Yuugi universe falls in love with Taka/Tamahome. I hated that Miaka had to be bed-ridden the entire series. I hated it that the Seiryuu are always sidelined (I loved them. I loved Nakago and Suboshi. So where the hell are they and why did they have to die? And at the hands of Tamahome?!) I especially hated the computer-generated Four Gods. I think it was trying too hard, trying to resurrect a dead series. They should've stopped with the 2nd OVA.
And speaking of resurrecting the dead, I wished they left the old Suzaku warriors alone. They created cheap replacements for the original ones. Come on, can anyone really replace the Nuriko we knew?
If I had to rate that show from 1-5, I'd give it a zero, and that's already being nice. (I feel strongly about this, btw. It's because I used to really love the series. Why did they have to destroy that?)

Methinks aegis needs to try decaf...... j/k
Seriously, I have it and it was allright. IMO, it was better than the first OVA *way too confusing* and not even close to the second OVA *which I am a huge fan of..esp how they treated Hotohori, Nuriko, Tasuki and Chichiri's story*. But I agree that Mayo was annoying, rude, abrasive and a twit. I'm no fan of Miaka the Baka but Mayo made me miss her. But Miaka was wasted in Eikoden..granted, she saved Mayo and the world at the very end, but even Miaka didn't need to be in a coma, literally childless*
On that 1-5 scale, I'd give it 2.5
