Humans 'struggle' thoughout their lives. This is an innate quality. The struggle for survival and a struggle to reach higher in an evolutionary scale.

Because we all want the same things: money, power, land, privacy, food, the best education for our children, etc, etc,. It's a long list.
The problem is, there is only so much to go round. So what's available, people fight over.
