I am "The friend"
We, for one wouldnt have any shortage of jobs ever if women would just go do what they are supposed to do, clean cook and take care of the kids. Why do you think the divorce rates are so high? Or the number of kids are being put up for adoption? why is it so hard to find a good ol american family that loves one another. they cant drive either, unless they are going to the store to pick up groceries. by the way i am american and not omish... obviously. oh yeah im 15

Firstly learn how to spell women!!!
Women have every right to go and do whatever they please. I will never feel threatened by my gf or future wife if they earn more money than i do, even if i have to become a full time father. Women have the same rights as men and people who dont believe this are obviously threatened by women and live in the stone ages.

First, learn how to spell.
Second, economically speaking, women cannot AFFORD to be home makers, anymore. The cost of living is too high.
** EDIT **
If you are the "friend", you're going to have a hard time finding a man to support you.
Women on the job market is not the reason that there is a shortage of jobs. Illegal immigration and out-sourcing is the reason why there's a shortage of jobs.
The divorce rate is so high because of the fact that the younger generation of married adults don't understand the part of marriage that states that they stay faithful to one another. Sometimes, they divorce because they rush into a marriage and find out that they are not as compatible as they thought. They do not, however, get divorced because the woman works. That isn't even a statistic.
If you want a man to support you, I'm sure that there's one out there who will, but try not to make yourself look like a gold-digger.

Get real! Women have the same rights as men. It's fine if women want to be homemakers, but that should be decided between the husband and wife in question. It's not always possible. I am fortunate enough that my wife can stay home and watch our children during the week and only has to work a few hours on the weekend to help make ends meet. I know others who require both paychecks to make ends meet. It all depends on the lifestyle that is desired by the couple.

I'm glad that we have the right to an education. Your friend help you write this question or what? Her limited aspect on all that women are empowered to do indicates a sheltered life with a lot of influence from someone she respects and believes who told her this mumbo jumbo mess. If that's the life she chooses for herself then let her live it. She can't dictate or force any of the other women in the world to do as she wants.

Somehow I don't believe a thing you said. No woman is going to say she shouldn't have rights. But any person in their right mind would understand that even their own rights should be limited by their circumstance. Maybe if you told the truth you could get some realistic responses.
I for one think you have the right to an education. Apparently you don't however.

Women deserve equal consideration as men. They should have the same opportunities in life as they are not lesser beings. If they want to be a homemaker fine, but if they want to do something else they have a perfect right to do so.

What country does your friend live now? America or one of those Arab nations? Even over there women have rights as they should. I suggest you or your friend writes to American women of influence (US congressional women, cabinet members, CEOs, talk show hosts....) and ask for their thought on this.

Are you female? Are you nuts? I think you just set the whole human race back by a few hundred years. This is not the dark ages anymore.
