I shut my mouth and sleep on it. The next day I look into my self and wonder why I want to be angry over such petty things. I figure I have some kind of chip on my shoulder that's getting too heavy to carry around. Life is too short to look what others are doing wrong. We take a look at our self and fix our own problems. We become a better person for it.

Sounds like plain old annoying behaviour, nothing to get too riled up about. Stay in a different room when these things are occuring and they'll get the message.

When you feel like you are about to get angry, just think about how you will make your family feel if you get angry with them. Take a few deep breaths, count to ten and soon your anger will pass.

I always find that when I get so angry it feels as if i can't hold it in any longer, it helps me if I just get active. I often run up and down the street or even just jog up and down the stairs. It helps me forget the stress as I focus on something uniform, like moving my feet.

I have found that I can control my anger with a "fight fire with fire" attitude---- when I start getting really angry---I simply allow myself to get really mad at myself for getting angry---this is so utterly confusing that it usually defuses the situation--but it doesn't do a dang thing to settle being up all night having heated discussions with myself !!!!!

by: Pema Chödrön
"We can suppress anger and aggression or act it out, either way making things worse for ourselves and others. Or we can practice patience: wait, experience the anger and investigate its nature. Pema Chödrön takes us step by step through this powerful practice."

By taking life less seriously and with humor. I hardly ever get mad. I can't remember the last time I got in an argument.

stay calm when this happens, and get away from them. Talk to someone with no connection to your family (best to be a professional) about why you get angry, then when you have figured it out for yourself, talk to your family about it. I understand this may be difficult, but its better than not spending time with them.
