my ipod only holds 280 songs, and i cant afford a better one. can i get it to hold more songs?

No. You'll just have to buy a new one or delete some songs.

Unfortunately there is no means of upgrading your current iPod. There are other options to squeeze in a bit more songs.

Consider the following:
1. Decrease the bit rate when ripping from your CD to under 128
2. Convert your Apple formats to MP3 for music purchased thru iTunes
3. Convert your existing library to a lower bitrate

i heard that if u make lots of "on the run " playlists you can fit those few extra songs in
