yes and regulated as well as taxed, you can never get rid of it and it has some advantages as it likly reduces some sex crimes. By regulating it public health could be made safer from stds and aids, as condoms should be required

For me, yes let's face it - legalizing prostitution will bring new social orders in check plus economical benefits to our ladies. How many underground prostitution rings have been busted and eventually rooted out? None! It's like octopus' hands that keep springing up with new facets. How many human cargoes have ever been detected? Lots of them! and they keep coming, why? They smell the money, they sense a huge vacuum gap of sex market left unchallenged by their American sisters. Take a look at your city: Massage parlors, escort ads, strip clubs... are they running a legitimate business with no "happy ending"? They still cost you and your husband money anyway. Japan, European community, Asia....They know they can't stop it and they choose to in stead count money and forget about their jail-hoping little prostitutes. Every body happy!!!

No. Legalizing prostitution just because it's been going on for so long makes having any law at all pointless. If it's against the law and you think it should be legal, just do it anyway, eventually they'll get sick of everyone breaking the law and make it legal. That's the one of the most rediculous things I've ever heard of. Prostitution is illegal and it should remain that way.

It should definitely be legalized! Not only would the spread of many diseases be lowered, but the government could tax the "self employed"and use the revenue for other resources.

Do you really want the governments hand in prostitution? No pun intended.
Think about it, Hypothetically, If prostitution was legal across the U.S. then pimps would lose control of their prostitutes.
Prostitutes would expect better pay, thats no cut, to the pimp, because they don't need his protection anymore. Pimps would kill alot of prostitutes for showing that they had a will of their own.
Would prostitutes unionize?
Would you want to pay for healthcare and retirement of prostitutes?
I will stop with the hypothetical view to answer your question.
No I do not think it a good idea to legalize prostitution, promotion of this immorality will drive our nation further into trouble.
This is just my two cents, spend them how you will.

i think so,, there are many European countries that it is legal in and it is a job set for many females. they pay taxes and everything just like regular job, they have health benefits that match, and sometimes exceed the rest of the work force. it is controled and regulated, by the state government.

(All good points gents.) These women who use sex as a tool, or take it away if you don't take out the trash or buy them something will be lonely. They will lose out everytime to a pro, its minus the hassle. Like the old west.

Prostitution and Pot. It's never going to stop. Might as well regulate it to make it safe, and let the country tax it to lower the national debt.
